Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, Nigerian rapper/ singer/song writer, better known as Skales has released Kowope, his first collaboration with Akon, US singer and businessman of Senegalese descent.
The song, which was released on Tuesday, sees Skales praising hard workers who stay true to their struggle.
The collaborative project also comes as the rapper’s third track for the year 2020.
“I dey hustle for my daily bread. Oluwa cover me. I know this life is a struggle. But my hustle sure for me o,”part of the lyrics says.
“Do your own make i do my own.I no like long story .Idey hustle for my daily bread. Oluwa cover me.”
The song was produced by Rvge and serves as a follow up to his previous single Tantabara, which also has a video.
He announced early this year that he would be dropping his fourth musical project this month, but with the current pandemic, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Shake Body crooner might have fixed a new date.
Aside from Akon, Skales has worked with Jeremiah Gyang, Banky W and Falz among other renowned Nigerian singers.
He founded his own record label, OHK Music in 2014 and released Shake Body; a lead single from is debut album, Man of the Year. Additionally, he also signed a 5 year deal with Baseline Music label.
