“DONDA” is Out On Streaming Services

American hip-hop icon, Kanye West, has finally dropped his album, DONDA.

Despite pushing the initial release date of the album, Kanye West has finally released DONDA on all available streaming platfoms. The album dropped right after the rapper’s third listening event in Chicago, which featured appearances from DaBaby and Marilyn Manson.

Kanye West third listening party

The album featured his long-time “rival”, Jay Z, who rapped on the second track “Jail.” Jay Z’s verse was replaced with a verse by DaBaby. However, multiple sources claim DaBaby’s verse was never cleared to be released. The official credits for “Jail” list Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson) as one of the composers and lyricists. Late album track “New Again” credits Chris Brown as a co-composer and co-lyricist. Additional guests on Donda include the Weeknd, Jay Electronica, the Lox, Young Thug, the late Pop Smoke, Pusha T, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, and Kid Cudi

The process of the “DONDA” drop

Kanye initially announced the release of DONDA last summer, after previously promising to drop another album titled “God’s country.”

West was scheduled to put out Donda following the first listening event on July 22 but the release was postponed. He announced a new release date of August 6 via a representative a couple days later. However, the album, of course did not come out on August 6.) Between the July 22 and August 5 events, West decided to reside within the Atlanta stadium to complete work on the album. He streamed some of the progress of the album also.

The rapper was also going through a very public divorce with wife, Kim Kardashian-West.
