Detail, the record producer credited for Drunk in Love, a song by Beyoncé featuring rapper Jay Z, has been arrested for raping five women.
According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, the Grammy Awards-winning hit-maker assaulted the women multiple times between 2010 and 2018.
Following his arrest on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, Detail is now facing 15 sexual assault charges and five separate felony assault charges.
While a statement from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, has it that he’s being held on nearly $6.3 million bail, the department made it clear that if found guilty and convicted as charged, Detail could face up to 225 years to life in prison.
The accused, in 2015, won a Grammy for co-writing the Beyoncé and Jay-Z hit –Drunk in Love.
Aside from Bey, Detail has also produced hits for Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Wiz Khalifa, amongst other globally-recognised music stars.
