Nigerian TV personality, fashion consultant, and social media influencer Denola Grey is getting dragged on Twitter over four fat-shaming tweets that resurfaced from 2011.

This comes after the writer reacted to tweets about Adele’s weight loss; saying, “people to stop commenting on people’s bodies”.

Check out the tweet below:
Another tweeter, in an attempt to dismiss Denola Grey, posted screenshots of his fat-shaming tweets from 2011.

Grey reacted to it saying he was ashamed of his past actions and that they did not reflect how he thought and felt about things now.

Following this, fans came out in support of Denola Grey; saying it was a long time ago and it was enough for him to grow. Indeed, Denola Grey have been vocal about ideals that are “woke” (which is just a catch-all for liberal and anti-oppression) by social media standards.

However, others continued to drag Denola and his fans, calling them out for their “hypocrisy and double standards.

What do you think about this? Should Denola Grey be dragged for his fat-shaming tweets from 9 years ago? Should people be judged for their past beliefs? At the core of it, do people really change? Is there no room for growth for all or do only our favs deserve that courtesy?
