Days of our Lives gets renewed through Season 58… Yes, 58.

Days of our lives

One of the longest-running soap operas in the world, Days of Our Lives is officially returning for two more seasons.

Airing since November 8, 1968, Days of our Lives, will now run into at least Season 58 in 2023.

In the pandemic affected year that was 2020, the show celebrated its 55th Season. Currently in Season 56, the 10,000th episode aired in December 2020, therefore, making it NBC’s longest-running show.

Corday Productions Inc. produce Days of our Lives in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ken Corday is the executive producer; Albert Alarr is the co-executive producer, and Ron Carlivati is the head writer.

Speaking on the renewal, NBC’s executive vice president, Micheal Sluchan said,

“We couldn’t be happier to bring our loyal fans two more seasons of Days of our Lives and continue what has been an absolutely remarkable achievement in television. A big thank you to [exec producer] Ken Corday and the cast and crew for their incredible passion for storytelling that continues to reach new generations of viewers.”

Executive producer Ken Corday also had this to say

“After more than 55 years of bringing drama, adventure, and romance to screens around the world, we are thrilled and honored to carry on the Days of our Lives legacy for another two years. We are thankful to NBC for their enduring commitment to the show and grateful to continue this wonderful journey with our fans for years to come.

About Days of our Lives.

The show set in a fictional town called Salem primarily focuses on its core families, the Hortons, and the Bradys. With new families and characters added over the years. Some of the new families introduced in the show include the Carvers, DiMeras, and also the Kiriakises

The show is only the second longest-running daytime drama currently on the air. ABC’s General Hospital currently sits in first position having debuted in 1963.
