Social media has been abuzz since the rumors of a Davido– Cardi B collaboration began circulating. American rapper, Cardi B was caught vibing and twerking to Davido‘s “Fall” on her first trip to Africa.
However, Davido has confirmed that “Fall Remix” featuring Cardi B was indeed completed months ago but hasn’t been cleared for release.
Responding to a fan who posted Cardi B’s video on twitter with the caption “She really shocked me with the @iam_Davido cover she did in the plane.” Davido replied via twitter, “Not a cover we recorded this last feb… just never dropped.”
“Fall” appears on Davido’s newly-released album A Good Time. The album also features Chris Brown, Gunna, Summer Walker and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. The album has broken records to become the first Nigerian music video to hit 250 million views on YouTube.
Davido and Cardi B met at the 2017 edition of Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards. After wards, Davido posted a picture of the two of them on his Twitter page. While commenting on the picture, Cardi B expressed her love for his muisc.
Cardi B will be performing in Lagos at the Livespot X Festival holding on December 7, 2019. She will also perform in Accra, Ghana on December 8.
