Nigerian music star Davido has announced that his white wedding with Chioma will take place in August.
The singer stated this in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club.
He compared the traditional wedding which took place in Nigeria as a “Carnival”.
He said, “I’m doing my white wedding in Miami in August. The wedding I did was traditional, it was like a carnival in Nigeria, like a holiday. The whole world stood still. Me and my wife’s relationship was in the public eye, especially after I did that one song.
“So a lot of things happened. Even apart from losing our child, I messed up a lot of times so that full circle moment everyone was like finally she can get what she deserves.”
Following the success of their traditional wedding, Davido revealed in an interview on the Bootleg Kev podcast, that he met Chioma during his third year in school.
He further stated that they’ve been living together for 8 years before their eventual marriage.
