According to Variety, British-Nigerian Actor, David Oyelowo is in the concluding stages of negotiations to join George Clooney in Netflix’s adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s 2016 novel, “Good Morning, Midnight“.

The novel is set in a post-apocalyptic universe, and follows the parallel stories of Augustine, a lonely scientist in the Arctic. He races to make contact with the crew of the Aether spacecraft as they try to return home to Earth.

George Clooney plays double roles, directing the film and playing the lead, Augustine. Oyelowo’s role on the other hand, is yet to be revealed but has been confirmed. The actor joins the cast which includes Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street).

With Oscar fave, George Clooney, starring and directing the movie, coupled with Netflix handling distribution – like they have for Oscar winners and nominees in the past – Oyelowo’s role might turn out to be his legitimate shot at an Oscar nomination and possible win.

The adaptation is yet to have a working title but eelive.ng is sure to bring the juice as it is served.
