The Writivism Annual Literary Festival has been scheduled to run from August 15 through August 18, 2019 at the National Theatre, Kampala, Uganda.
The Writivism Festival was first hosted in Kampala, Uganda in 2012 and has gone on to become the most famous literary festival from the East African country. This year’s festival themed “Unbreakable Bonds” will feature book launches and readings, panels, poetry, and lots more.
One of the books to be launched is “Unbreakable Bonds,” an anthology of fiction, photography and nonfiction from Eastern Africa and the UK diaspora edited by Bwesigye Bwa Mwesigire, Esther Mirembe and Sumayya Lee. After shortlists announced in May, the winners of the Writivism Short Story Prize 2019 and the Koffi Addo Creative Nonfiction Prize 2019 will also be revealed.
So for those looking for something really festive and educative at the same time, The National Theatre Kampala, Uganda, is where to be. For further information please visit – www.writivism.org.
