Daniel Kaluuya: I Wasn't Invited for the Premier of 'Get Out'

English actor, Daniel Kaluuya, in an interview with Irish TV presenter, Graham Norton, revealed that he was not invited to the premiere of Get Out, a 2017 horror film that shot him into the spotlight.

Despite playing the lead role in the film, Kaluuya said he wasn’t invited for the premier which held at Sundance Film Festival.

The 31-year-old actor added that he cleared his schedule in order to attend the premiere ceremony, but he ended up spending the night in bed.

“On the Sundance world premiere, I was in Atlanta because I was shooting Black Panther,” he said.

“I was chilling, I cleared my schedule. I was like, ‘I really wanna do it.’ And then just didn’t get the invite. I wasn’t invited, so I was just in my bed – someone text me, ‘It’s done really well. I don’t ask questions. You don’t wanna be in a place that you don’t feel wanted,” the actor added.

Kaluuya’s performance in the film saw him nominated for no less than 26 awards, including Best Actor at the Oscars and Golden Globes.
