A good number of Nigerian celebs are continuing to be their stellar selves by donating money to support organisations dedicated to feeding people in need amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr. Eazi Nigerian Afrobeats singer, has announced his readiness to provide 10,000 meals; to residents of Lagos and Ogun in the fight against COVID-19.

The Empawa Africa boss took to twitter to announce that he would be supporting the Food Bank Lagos; including other organisations with food to feed the nation.

Mr Eazi

Eazi, who will turn 29 in July, tweeted:

“I have committed to sponsoring 3,300 meals in collaboration with the Food Bank Lagos; for some of the most vulnerable people in Lagos. In the coming weeks, I will continue to work with other organisations across Lagos; and Ogun State to provide 10,000 meals.

“We must all come together to assist one another in these trying times. I wish you good health and safety.”

In April 2020, Mr Eazi, who was born Oluwatosin Ajibade, was listed in Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30 revolutionary thinkers.

In 2018, he announced that he wanted to use EmPawa to uplift emerging artistes; by sponsoring their videos and music projects.

EmPawa is a movement targeted at growing independent, emerging talented artists in Africa. By equipping them with the tools, knowledge, network, and investment needed to become independent music entrepreneurs,” he said.

The project has, since, “supported 22 Nigerian artistes and a total of 100 across 11 Africa.”

Mr. Eazi’s Empawa Africa has been responsible for the breakthrough of artists like Guiltybeatz, J Derobie, and Nigeria’s Joeboy among others.
