AMVCA 2020 attendee, Seun O, who tested positive to covid-19 has been discharged from the Lagos state isolation center.

The photographer left several dusts in its trail after he returned from the UK, to grace the 7th edition of the awards. Initially, he refused to report himself to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) after showing symptoms of the dreaded virus, thereby putting thousands of Nigerian lives in danger.

The photographer was forced to get tested for the virus when Ifeoma Chukwuogo, a self-acclaimed film director, made a thread about the matter; in a now-deleted tweet. The test however came back positive.

Reacting to the development, other attendees of the AMVCA were afraid for their lives and immediately went into self-isolation.

The Lagos State Ministry of Health also confirmed that attendees of the just Awards were likely exposed to the novel coronavirus after the photographer tested positive.

After undergoing treatment for the virus, Seun O took to Instagram to share his recovery story. He went on to thank everyone who supported and offered messages of encouragement while he was a patient at Yaba Isolation Center where he received treatment.

He also urged everyone to stay at home, practice social distancing and good personal hygiene.
