In the four counts filed in court by the police in 2019, Marley and his brothers were accused of stealing a Toyota Camry valued at 1.8 m along with an iPhone X5 reported to be worth N330,000.

The prosecutor, Edet Okoi, said Marley and others acted contrary to sections 112, 172, 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015. The President of the Marlians and self-proclaimed ‘Lord of Lamba‘ who launched his new record label, Marlian Records was recently called a demon by a Nigerian pastor, Chris Omashola.

The pastor tweeted: “In 2020, God told me, Naira Marley is A Demon. He is satanic and should repent before it’s too late.

His songs are demoncally inspired to destroy the Destiny of the Youths of this generation. Nigerian youths should desist from calling themselves Marlians #ACOProphecies2020.”

Marley wasted no time in replying : “Jesus never went to church.

However, singer Naira Marley is yet to comment on his release. Until then, we congratulate the singer and hope this marks the end of his affair with the police.
