2Baba Idibia, Nigerian pop icon has pledged a donation of N10 million to the fight against pandemic, coronavirus.
Idibia said that the donation is in conjunction with International Breweries plc towards the battle against the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
“Together with Trophy Extra Special Stout, I will be making a N10m donation to support initiatives combating CoVID 19,” he said.
2baba Idibia also announced an e-concert to sensitise the public against the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
The singer said the e-concert will be live-streamed on his social media handles on April 12, 2020.
“The idea of the e-concert is for me to lend my voice and call on Nigerians to come together; to combat this global pandemic by heeding the stay-at-home request from the government. So that the spread of the virus can be reduced to its barest minimum.”
2baba Idbia, also known as 2face, recently used his foundation to raise N14 million for Internally Displace Persons (IDPs).
However Nigerian singer, Douglas Jack Agu, popularly known as Runtown also announced that he would be donating N10 million as coronavirus relief fund. The singer pledged to donate the money for Nigerians who would be staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
Nigerians took to Twitter to thank the singer for his donation after some of them got alerts from him.
