February was a great month for movies, especially if you are a fan of romance films, and usually, March isn’t a month with many release dates, but things are quite different this year. From the anticipated Moxie to Coming to America: The Sequel, it is sure this month will be a great movie experience.
We compiled this list of top movies to anticipate.
1. Moxie (Netflix)
If you are a huge fan of women’s empowerment, then you will enjoy this movie. Moxie is about a shy teenage girl who manages to make herself invisible to avoid receiving her peers’ attention. However, she soon befriends a new student who is sexually harassed by one of the football players.
As the school refuses to take any action and applies this double standard between high school boys and girls; the young teenager uses her voice to call out the school for sexism with some inspiration from her mother’s rebellious past to start a revolution.
It will be available on Netflix on March 3, and it looks like a great watch already.
2. Ponzi (Cinemas)
This is a Nigerian movie I am personally looking forward to. Produced by Kayode Kasum, it is sure that this movie will be a hit project; like his other works, This Lady Called Life and Sugar Rush.
The comedy film stars Timini Egbuson, Uzo Amaka, Jide Kosoko, Mawuli Gavor, Tope Tedela, Chinyere Wilfred, Gold Ikponmwosa, Zubby Michael, and Mr. Macaroni.
It’s about a community forced to perform a heist after falling prey to a Ponzi scheme. The movie is full of comedy, action, and (hopefully) romance, so watch out for this one. It will be released on March 12.

3. Coming 2 America
Yes! This is the sequel to the first Coming to America, and oh boy, is it different! Directed by Craig Brewer, the movie is all about Prince Akeem’s journey to Queens searching for his heir.
The fantastic thing about this movie is that after 33 years, they are still using the same main actors! The power of makeup and costumes.
It will be premiering on the 5th of March.
4. Under the Carpet
Directed by Tope Alake, the romance drama will premiere on March 7 and will show in all cinemas nationwide from March 12.
With Iyabo Ojo as its main star, we are expecting top-notch acting. The movie tells an intense story of love, sacrifice, pain, suspense, betrayal, and emotion.
5. Godzilla VS King Kong
This movie is the most anticipated war between the two most giant movie monsters. If you haven’t watched the two movies on their own, you might want to. Although this movie is standalone, you can just watch the sole films to have background knowledge of it. The movie will debut on March 31.
