Cinderella is a 2021 romantic musical film based on the fairy tale of the same name by Charles Perrault.
Written and directed by Kay Cannon, it stars singer Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver and Pierce Brosnan.
The new Cinderella seems to be more of a “girl boss” rather than a maltreated stepdaughter. She does have a stepmother, stepsisters, and livea in the basement. However, she is not stuck doing menial chores. She is a dress maker with mice for friends.
