American model, Chrissy Teigen is losing business relationships as a result of backlash from cyberbullying charges. American department store chains Macy’s, Target and Bloomingdale’s have backed out of their contract with her.

Teigen’s “Cravings by Chrissy” cookware line was dropped by Macy’s this week after model Courtney Stodden revealed that Teigen bullied her. She had accused her of urging her to commit suicide in private Twitter messages when they were both 16 years old.

According to reports, Bloomingdale’s was just hours away from signing a contract with the cookbook author. The contract would have meant that Teigen would host a promotional event for the store. However, the deal was cancelled on Monday due to the negative press surrounding the situation.

Although Target claims the drop is unrelated, Teigen’s goods have been unavailable on both sites. This is coming only days after the model’s consistent cyberbullying via Twitter was revealed.

Candace Owens, an author and political activist, suggested in a Tweet that the range had been cancelled due to the backlash.

“I am pleased to announce that as of this evening, Macy’s has removed Chrissy Teigen’s cookware line from its website,” she wrote.

“Thank you @Macys for doing the right thing. Teenage suicide is not a joke. Thank you to everyone on the media for covering this story extensively.” She added

The specifics about Teigen and Stoddens’ problems regarding cyberbullying when they were 16 were recently published by Eelive.

Stodden, who is now 26, rose to fame in 2011. She was married to actor Doug Hutchison, who was 51 at the time.

Stodden said in a recent interview that  Teigen publicly tweeted messages to her including “I hate you,” “my Friday fantasy: you. Dirt nap” and “go. To sleep. forever.” They also revealed that the model privately messaged her telling them to kill themself.

Teigen apologized last Wednesday in a Twitter thread. She wrote: “Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls–t in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be.”

“I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behaviour but that… is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel,” she added
