A couple of days ago, Nigerian actress Chika Ike announced the arrival of her baby, however, she didn’t announce the identity of the baby’s father. Several netizens alleged that prominent Nigerian politician Senator Ned Nwoko is the father of the child, however, both parties have come out to deny the speculations. Just some days after Chika Ike welcomed her child, Nigerian reality star and Big Brother Naija runner-up, Nengi Hampson announced on Sunday, March 9, that she had welcomed her first child in February 2025.

Nengi’s announcement came after the anonymous blog GistLover announced that Nengi was pregnant (or, at the time, had given birth) for a politician, specifically, Bayelsa state governor Douye Diri. Nengi has since come out to also deny the allegations, however, she confirmed that she was expecting a child at the time.

As more celebrities come out to announce the arrival of their babies, more impressionable women would come out to undermine the essence of family structure and discipline and only do what they perceive to be trending.
