On January 11, the Soundcity MVP awards will make its triumphant return for its forth edition. The nominations list for the 2020 Soundcity MVP awards festival has been revealed across the Soundcity Radio Network.
The biggest stars in Nigeria like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and Burna Boy scored big nods this year. The categories this year are stacked. Mavin’s sensational Rema will be going head-to-head with Joey boy, Fire boy, and more.
In 2019, The Soundcity MVP Music Awards introduced some number of new categories including the African DJ of the Year and special recognition in sports, entrepreneurship, creative arts, fashion, digital influence, and socio-political development.
According to Mr. Tajudeen Adepetu, Executive Producer of Soundcity MVPs the show will be aired live across the continent on Saturday January 11th on the Soundcity TV channel DSTV 327 to an anticipated 25 million viewers across the continent. He added :
“This year’s edition of the Soundcity MVPs promises to bring our fans the best performances from the hottest musical acts on the continent. Also in the bag of surprises will be international show hosts, unexpected collaborations and buzzworthy pop culture moments that will definitely have the world talking for a long time to come…”
