Late American actor Chadwick Boseman’s $2.3 Million estate will be split by his widow Taylor Simone Ledward-Boseman and parents Leroy and Carolyn $2.3 Million, evenly.
This is following the actor’s death from colon cancer in 2020. Boseman did not leave a will behind. According to court documents, his estate was originally valued at $3,881,758. However after his funeral bill and lawyer fees were paid, it amounted to $2.5 Million and an additional $157,000 in cash.
Thereafter, his widow produced documents with an account of all expenses incurred following Boseman’s death, asking to be reimbursed. The funeral costs were around $50,000 and they included the cost of the purchase of a piece of land close to the actor’s resting place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where his parents will be laid.
The late actor’s company, Boseman, Inc. also allegedly owed a tax fee of $51,000 and $900,000 was spent on a bond for a probate case. The remaining $2.3 Million will be split between the two parties with $1.15 Million each.
Before his death, Chadwick had starred in movies like “Black Panther”, “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” and “Get On Up”
