Celine Dion‘s family continues to hold onto hope for finding a cure for the singer’s rare stiff-person syndrome.
In an interview with Le Journal de Montreal, Celine’s sister, Claudette, provided an update on the singer’s health. Unfortunately, they have not yet found medication to manage her incurable ailment.
Despite the challenges, the family remains optimistic, with Claudette emphasizing the importance of holding onto hope even in difficult circumstances.
To provide additional support to Celine’s three sons, her sister Linda has moved into her home. Together, the family, including Celine’s sons and their aunt, are actively involved in her care, rehabilitation, and recovery process. They are also closely following the advice of top researchers in the field.
Claudette expressed her concern about Celine pushing herself too hard and emphasized the need for rest. She applauded Celine’s decision to stop singing and performing, believing that her body and heart are trying to communicate the importance of slowing down and taking care of herself.
Earlier, Celine disclosed that she had been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare and incurable neurological condition characterized by uncontrollable muscle spasms. As a result, she indefinitely postponed the final leg of her Courage World Tour in May.
Stiff-person syndrome is an exceedingly rare condition, affecting just one in every one million people, according to the Mayo Clinic.
We send our best wishes for Celine’s recovery and hope for successful treatments in the future.
