Nigerian celebrities showered veteran actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, also known as “Baba Agbako,” with congratulations as he turned 100.

Expressing their joy, the celebrities took to Instagram to celebrate the centenarian, sharing his picture.

Adebayo Salami, acknowledging his deep respect, said, “A highly respected veteran is 100 today. This holds great significance for the movie industry. May goodness always prevail in your life, Pa Charles Olumo.”

Bolaji Amusan, the National President of TAMPAN, wrote, “Happy centenary birthday to Pa Charles Sanyaolu Olumo…wishing you many more happy years, sir.”

Actor Kunle Afod expressed, “Pa Charles Olumo turns 100 today. Happy birthday, sir. Is he the oldest? Could this be another record from Nigeria?”

Damola Olatunji exclaimed, “Wow! Baba Agbako is 100 years old today. Happy champagne age birthday, Baba. A true thespian who deserves national honor. A living legend. I pray that God continues to bless our oldest actor with good health. Amen.”

Adeniyi Johnson added, “I celebrate you, Baba. Thank God for a good life and sound health. Happy 100th birthday, sir. May you continue to grow stronger, Baba Agbako.”

Born on February 19, 1923, in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Abdulsalam Sanyaolu started his journey as a mechanic in Tinubu Square, Lagos, and was once an amateur boxer.

His acting career began in 1953 in Lagos state, and he became renowned for his action roles in Yoruba films. Some of his notable works include “Taxi Driver,” “Jagun,” “Amin Orun,” “Aiye,” “Jayesinmi,” “Soworo Ide,” “Igbo Dudu,” and more.
