See Cast of “Game of Thrones” Before The Show

The cast of “Game of Thrones” are so good at their job that there is some shock when they are not seen in the garb of Westeros or King’s Landing.

While some of the stars from the show hit big time thanks to HBO, many of them joined the roll call of casts as established actors – one had even played the role of Jesus in a previous film.

As we get ready for the series’ return for the eighth and final season on Sunday, April 14, here is a look at what the beloved cast used to look like.

Before Charles Dance acted the villainous role as Tywin Lannister, he was also a villain in the James Bond movie “For Your Eyes Only”.

Do you remember Mark Addy, who played the role as Robert Baratheon? He used to be Fred Flintstone in “The Flintstones in Viva Rock Ages”.

The ‘baddest queen ever liveth’, Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) made her film debut in a 1992 movie “Waterland”.

He landed his breakout role in 2003 in “The Station Agent” but we know Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, also known as Jaime Lannister, first started acting in 1994 in a Danish film titled “Nightwatch”. Ironic, right?

This might shock you but Joffrey Bratheon, real name Jack Gleeson, played the role of an adorable little boy in “Batman Begins”.

Diana Rigg who played the role as Lady Olenna Tyrell has been acting since the ‘60s and was a Bond girl in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”

Emilia Clarke had played only two TV roles (one was in “Triassic Attack”) before she got the part of Daenerys Targaryen.

Kit Harington has only been in one theatre production “War Horse” before he was cast as Jon Snow.

The most prolific of them all might be Max von Sydow who had been acting since 1949. He plays the role of the Three-Eyed Raven in the series.
