Carole Baskin, ‘Tiger King’ Star, Comes Out as Bisexual

Carole Baskin, notably known for featuring in the 2020 Netflix docuseries, The Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness star has revealed she is bisexual.

The 59-year-old Big Cat Rescue founder brought this revelation to light during an interview with Pink News on Monday. She also disclosed that she started exploring her sexuality during the AIDS crisis in the 80s; when she spent lots of time with the LGBT+ community.

“I have always considered myself to be bisexual. Even though I’ve never had a wife, I could just as easily have a wife as a husband.” she explained.

“I was always very male-oriented in the things I did … I never had any mothering instincts or anything, you know, I never played with dolls. And so I always thought that there was something off there, that I couldn’t quite put my finger on,” she said about her childhood.

“But it was during the ’80s that I discovered that through dealing with the LGBT+ community that I [realized] I had just as equal feelings for women as I did for men.

“As far as the way I feel about us; I think we are all one and I just don’t see us as being different genders or different colors or anything.”

Carole Baskin has been married three times to men. At the age of 17 she got married to Michael Murdock her first husband in 1979. The couple split up in 1981. She later married Don Lewis who vanished in August 1997. He was later declared dead in 2002. In 2004 she married her third husband Howard Baskin.
