American singer, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, popularly known as Cardi B has released the music video for her latest single, “Hot Shit,” featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk.
The singer previously hinted at the music video’s release in a video tweet. She tweeted, “I know yall been waiting….HOT SHIT VIDEO THIS TUESDAY 7/12 8PM EST”
It was released on July 1st and is one of the singles off Cardi B’s highly anticipated second album.
The video was directed by Lado Kvataniya and it’s coming less than two weeks after Cardi released the single.
The rapper has revealed that she has been sitting on “Hot Shit” for quite some time. She said, “I think this record is actually older than ‘WAP. It is everyone’s favorite. I love the record. It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before. I feel like people is expecting a lot of slutiness and blah blah blah. Y’all keep talkin’ I keep making TikTok records and this is definitely not that. It’s a fun great record. It’s masculine, it’s great for the clubs, it’s great for the bitches.”
“Hot Shit” is Cardi B’s first single of the year and her first since her March 2021 single “Up.”
