American artiste, Lizzo has received support from fans and famous friends like Cardi B and Chloe Bailey, after the singer cried on Instagram Live.
In the video, the 33 year old got emotional in response to negative attacks from trolls. This happened only days after releasing the music video for “Rumors.”. This is the rapper’s latest song and it was a collaboration effort with Cardi B.
“On the days I feel I should be the happiest…. I feel so down,” Lizzo told her social media followers as she dabbed at her eyes. “Like, I hurt so hard.”
The star noted that she felt especially frustrated because she’s been working “quadruple” the time, but feels unappreciated.
“Sometimes I feel like the world just don’t love me back,” she confessed.
The three time Grammy award winner also addressed her emotional moment in an Instagram post with the caption: “Sometimes I get sad…”
Since posting the video, which no longer appears in her Instagram feed, Lizzo has received encouraging messages. These messages have come from fans and famous friends like Cardi B.
Speaking up on behalf of her collaborator and friend, Cardi B tweeted,
“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive. When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny,big,plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.”
She also added, “Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”
A grateful Lizzo thanked Cardi for her support. “Thank you @iamcardib — you’re such a champion for all people. Love you so much,” she tweeted.
Fellow rapper, Missy Elliott also sent a flower delivery to the artists in response to the video.
On Friday, Lizzo dropped the music video of her first single in two years, ‘Rumours‘. The music video featured pregnant rap superstar Cardi B.
