Burna Boy who is popularly known as Damini Ogulu is doing great things both home and abroad. Despite being constantly criticised among the Nigerian populace, Ogulu is topping the charts. The Grammy Award winner’s latest track Kilometre is now number one for a third week on the TurnTable Top 50.
According to them: “‘Kilometre’ has gone on to set a new record on TurnTable Charts. The single became the first song to debut on all three of TurnTable Charts (Radio, Streaming, and TurnTable Top 50).”
“This record-breaking debut was evidence of how eagerly fans and the music community anticipated new material from Burna Boy. The song’s warm reception also suggests that fans got just what they wanted from the superstar,” they added.
The music charts website also spoke on how much influence the song has already gathered. In a speculative message, they write: ‘Kilometre’ is likely to be the first of several singles and proof that Burna Boy has no intention of taking his foot off the pedal and he intends to retain the speed with which he is moving.”

“‘Kilometer’ is also a teaser of what is to come in Burna Boy’s upcoming album and just like you, we earnestly look forward to the album.”
The music chart website which monitors airplay and streaming numbers also has Olamide‘s “Rock” at number 2. The other songs topping the chart are: “Feeling” by Ladipoe feat Buju at number 3 and “History” by Cheque feat Fireboy DML at number 4. Also at number 5 is Blaqbones feat Amaarae and Buju – “Bling“.
Other songs on the chart are “Essence” – Wizkid feat Tems which came down on the charts from number 2 to number 6. Meanwhile, Dangbana Republik & Bella Shmurda‘s “World” went up from number 14 to number 7.
Adekunle Gold‘s “It is What it is” is at number 8 while Gyakie feat Omalay – “Forever” remix is at number 9. Finally, at number 10 is Chike feat Simi – “Running to You”.
