In recognition of Burna Boy’s immense talent, Apple Music named the afro-fusion star its latest “Up Next” artist and have now dropped a documentary based on the superstar. In the documentary, he divulges very personal details about himself and his musical foundation as he gives a glimpse into his upcoming “African Giant” album.
Burna begins the interview by explaining his understanding of music, stating that the most important thing is the feeling he gets from making music. He also explains what “African Giant” means; he interprets it to mean a person with strength.
In the course of the documentary, the artiste performs a couple of songs off the album. While one of them is his latest single, “Anybody”, Burna boy plays through two unreleased songs: a song about mortality, and a track introducing the “African Giant”.
From making his debut at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, Coachella, to being handpicked by Beyoncé to feature on her upcoming album, “The Lion King: The Gift”, Burna Boy has recorded an incredibly successful and notable year so far.
