Burna Boy reunites with Diddy after Grammy win

Burna Boy Diddy

Shortly after receiving his Grammy statuette, Burna Boy reunited with Hip-hop mogul Diddy in the United States of America.

Burna Boy won the 2021 award for Best Global Music Album for his album, Twice As Tall. He had been nominated for the award the previous year but lost to legend Angelique Kidjo for her Celia album.

Diddy executively produced the album that won him the ‘Best Global Music Album’ at the 63rd edition of the Grammy Awards. His voice also featured on a couple of the tracks in the album.

Afrofusion star Burna Boy, who is currently in the US, paid Diddy a visit. Seeing each other after this huge win made the experience even more exciting for them. They had not seen in a long time as the Covid-19 pandemic restricted or even halted flights during the production of the album.

As a result, neither of the two music giants could hold back their emotions. A video, which went viral not long after it hit the internet, showed the two in their excitement.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Diddy wrote, “God is the greatest! Yesterday was the first time seeing my brother, Burna Boy in person since the pandemic and since we created the Grammy award winning album Twice as Tall over Zoom! This shit is deeper than rap. This is a true brotherhood. The two kings reunite! LOVE LOVE LOVE.”

The billionaire music executive producer, Diddy said:

“Today is a glorious day. Today I get reunited with my brother. I know we all back outside and everything. But you know there was a time not too long ago, we were all trapped inside the house.

“And during this time, I gat to make a legendary album, executively produce a legendary album with my brother, Burna Boy. And I haven’t seen him.”
