Following his historic win at the 2021 Grammy awards, Burna Boy has taken a swipe at his haters and naysayers.
In a series of tweet, the singer who won his first Grammy on March 14, for the Best Global Music Album recounted how some people prayed for him not to win.
He wrote: “My kids will confidently beat their chest and say “Daddy did it on his OWN, We can do it on our own
“When you KNOW yourself. NOBODY can tell you about yourself. KNOW YOURSELVES and never go against yourself.
“GOD is most definitely NOT A MAN. I will never forget how so many of you prayed that I don’t win. Too dumb to understand that you also win if I win. No worry, this is just the beginning. God is Great.”
Burna Boy went on to appreciate his team and supporters.
He added: “God bless everyone/ anyone who has stood with me! Let’s keep making history!
“Every single person that worked on the project, my incredible team that works 24/7, and my OUTSIDERS!! Big love always.”

Since he took home the Best Global Music Album trophy for Twice as Tall, Burna Boy has continued to be on a roll.
He was featured on Justin Bieber newly released album, titled Justice. It’s a 16-track collection of pop songs with assists from Chance the Rapper, Khalid, Daniel Caesar, Giveon, and more. Burna Boy appeared on track 14 of the album titled Loved By You.
