While there are arguments whether Burna Boy deserved the award or not, the Anybody crooner is super excited for Angelique Kidjo, whom he featured on Different, a song from his fourth studio album, “African Giant ” which earned him the Grammy nomination.

However, Burna Boy revealed earlier during a Breakfast Club interview on Power 105.1, New York, that he personally sought out Angelique Kidjo for his Grammy-nominated album, African Giant.

And true to form, the African Giant who shied away from social media all through the awards ceremony took to his Twitter page to congratulate Kidjo and declared his everlasting love for her. Further, he called her “Mama Africa.”

He wrote that, “I love you forever @angeliquekidjo and every single person that rooted for me, I don’t take any of it lightly! The world get ready cause we’re all coming! #FOOTONNECK2020.”

In the same vein, Burna Boy also joined the ensemble of celebrities bemoaning the demise of NBA legend, Kobe Bryant. He wrote, “If I wasn’t doing music I would have played basketball, and it’s all because of Kobe! We’ve lost a legend and our hearts are breaking! Prayers up for his family #ripkobeandgianna.”
