“African Giant” Burna Boy performed again on Easter Sunday, for the second time on Coachella’s main stage and his full 50 minutes set performance was pure energy. This is an attestation to the fact that Burna is top quality export.
Over 4000 people stood out in the over 40.5 degree Celsius heat to watch him “spread the gospel” of Afro-fusion.
Before his performance, Burna Boy spoke to LA Times on the impact of having his music shared on major platforms. He said: “It’s good for people who haven’t heard me before to hear me. Africa is like the home of everything. It’s the beginning of everything. So it’s like whether or not you directly listen to African music, you have listened to African Music.”
Burna’s album “African Giant” drops in August 2019 but in the meantime, we will enjoy his high-voltage performances on his African Giant tour.
