Buju changes stage name to ‘BNXN’

Nigerian musician, Daniel Benson, popularly known as as Buju, has officially changed his stage name to BNXN.

The star shared this via his official Twitter page. He announced his new name should be pronounced as ‘Benson’ written as ‘BNXN’.

The announcement read, “It’s no longer ‘Buju’. Call me ‘Benson’ written as ‘BNXN’,”

In the announcement video released on Thursday night, the name change became necessary after the singer was mistaken for another Jamaican singer known as Buju Banton.

The Afro-Fusion Singer is currently one of the top musical artiste in Nigeria.

Some of his notable work includes ‘Feeling’ with Ladipoe, ‘Mood’ with Wizkid, and ‘Peru’ freestyle.

He was initially signed to Burna Boy’s Spaceship. However, in 2020 but refused to renew his contract when it expired in 2021 on the grounds that he wanted to do something new on his own.
