Nollywood Meets Bollywood in “Namaste Wahala”

Bollywood filmmaker, Hamisha Daryani, features Nollywood Stars, Joke Silva, RMD, Ini DimaOkojie, others in his new movie Namaste Wahala; the first official Bolly/Nollywood collaboration in recent times.

According to the lead actress, Ini Dima-Okojie, the movie is a love story that cuts across two different cultures: Indian and Nigerian. The director, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja has continuously given behind-the-scenes peeps on her Instagram page; including a brainstorming session with MI Abaga in the writer’s room!

Bollywood actor, Ruslaan Mumtaz, also took to Instagram to share his excitement at working with Nigerian stars while shooting the movie.

He wrote: “Never thought that someday I would travel all the way to Africa to shoot a film about a Nigerian girl and an Indian boy. Just like this love story my experience on this project has been unique, memorable and very special.”

Premiering in April, Namaste Wahala is one of many international productions that Nollywood will embark on in 2020.
