African dancehall performing artiste, Nya Edward Inyang, known popularly as Blackky has marked his 32nd year anniversary as an artiste.
Blackky stormed the Nigerian music scene with his fluid raga raps, zest and dance freiendly hit songs in the 1990s.
He took to his facebook page on Tuesday to mark the 32nd anniversay as a recording/performing artiste.
Blackky thanked his fans for their support over the years and said he never imagined his career would span for that long.
“I never imagined that my career would span over 30 years when my 1st album was released on the 1st August,1991!”
“I give thanks to Jah and to you all out there for always supporting my music journey.”
His reggae/raga music style birthed songs like ‘Rosie’, ‘Bang Belly’ and ‘Blacckky’s Skank.’
Blackky released his debut album, ‘“About Tyme’ that stood the test of time and remain green till date.
He went on to release six more albums.
