‘Black Panther’ sequel adds Michaela Coel to cast

Michaela Coel, Emmy nominee and star of provocative HBO tv show, ‘I May Destroy You’ is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The 33-year-old has joined the cast of Ryan Coogler‘s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.A sequel to 2018’s Black Panther movie.

The movie will be written and directed by Coogler is writing and directing the Marvel sequel. We’re also expecting the return of Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, as well as Winston DukeDanai GuriraAngela BassettMartin Freeman, Letitia WrightDaniel Kaluuya and Florence Kasumba.

We have no idea what character Coel will be playing but we’re definitely looking forward to seeing her in this movie. Coel isn’t the only new addition to the Wakanda world, Narcos: Mexico star, Tenoch Huerta, has also joined the cast. However, unlike Coel, Huerta’s role has been announced. He is expected to play Namor the Sub-Mariner.

The first Black Panther movie was a success, grossing more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office. It was also the first superhero film to ever earn an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.

The sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release on July 8, 2022.
