The much anticipated Big Brother Naija season six reality TV show will begin on July 24, Multichoice has announced.
Multichoice Nigeria customer officer, Martin Mabutho, made the announcement at a press briefing on Monday.
This year’s edition of the reality TV show will premiere with two opening ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday. The opening ceremonies will be on air from 7 pm on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 with a simulcast on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family.
Also according to the organisers, there will be no SMS voting for this season which will enable fans to vote for their favourite housemates for free on BBNaija’s official website and mobile app as well as on the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.
Showmax will offer exclusive access to the show for viewers in outside the country. In line with Covid-19 safety protocols, the live shows will adopt the Lockdown season style with no guests.
This year’s edition of BBNaija will run for 72 days and end on October 3, 2021.
MultiChoice Nigeria had earlier announced record breaking N90million grand prize for the winner of the 6th edition of Big Brother Naija.
Laycon won the 2020 edition of the reality TV show with a grand prize of N85 million.
