AMERICAN singer and songwriter, Beyonce has condemned the gruesome killing of George Floyd, a Black-American who died in the hands of police officers on Monday, May 25, 2020.
As the black community and many other citizens of the United States continue to protest Floyd’s death, Beyonce took to her Instagram page to demand justice.
Sharing her thought on the horrific killing of Floyd, the music star urged her fans to sign a petition against racism in the country.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, she said; “We need justice for George Floyd. We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We’re broken and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain.” She added: “I’m not only speaking to people of color. If you’re white, black, brown or anything in between, then I’m sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now.
“No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of color as less than human. We can no longer look away. George is all our family in humanity. He is our family because he is a fellow American.”
As the video progressed, the singer fondly referred to as Queen Bey expressed, “There have been too many times that we’ve seen these violent killings and no consequences. Yes, someone has been charged, but justice is far from being achieved. Continue to pray for peace, compassion, and healing for our country. Thank you so much.”

Since the footage of a police officer kneeling on Floyd’s neck as he pleaded for his life until he lost consciousness surfaced the internet, protests have been raging across American cities.
With a video of rapper Killer Mike pleading for Floyd protesters to stop the ongoing violence, there are fears that it might get worsen in the coming days.
