BBNaija, the much-awaited 2020 edition of the reality TV show, officially started on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
The season 5 of the show, which already has 20 housemates contesting for N85 million worth of prizes, is themed Lockdown, and the organisers have introduced new rules to the show.
Due to the raging COVID-19, the rules would bring some changes that will be noticed in this year’s edition.
According to the show organisers, the new rules are introduced to avoid COVID-19 in the house.
Below are the rules:
- No guest would be permitted into the house or get physical contact with the housemates.
- The organiser cancelled all audiences for the live shows and evictions and the presenter would be hosting the Sunday Live Eviction Shows in an empty studio, which will be shown live in the Big Brother Naija House.
- There would be compulsory daily temperature checks for all production crew and guests coming into the house.
- There would regular be cleaning and disinfection of the house and production facilities, especially surfaces/objects that are being used always.
- Psychologists and medical doctors would be on standby to support the housemates and crew.
