Following the announcement of the commencement date of much-awaited season 5 of reality TV show, BBNaija, incoming housemates have now been quarantined.
As the show has been scheduled to commence from Sunday, July 19, 2020, selected housemates, after a rigorous verification and online sorting of over 30,000 entries, on Wednesday, June 1, proceeded on quarantine, in line with the guidelines provided and approved by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Nigerian Tribune reports that the organisers of the reality show made this disclosure at a virtual press briefing.
The organisers said carefully tested measures have been put in place to ensure minimal contact with outsiders once the housemates enter the house, adding that the favourite ninjas may not be very visible during the show due to COVID-19 realities.
Like the preceding Pepper Dem season that saw Mercy Eke emerge winner, the season five will air for 90 days; after which a winner will eventually be announced.
