Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr has responded to critics of her outfit at a concert in Athens, Greece.
During her performance at the ‘Release Athens Festival’, Ayra wore a skimpy dress that revealed her underwear, sparking mixed reactions on social media.
In a Twitter post, Ayra addressed the criticisms, explaining that she chose the outfit for uniformity.
“These are literally matching shortssss, but amazing for you! You’ve seen pant ! Congratulations, you’ve finally achieved something in your life,” she wrote.
She dismissed the negative comments, stating that people’s opinions don’t matter to her and that she will dress as she pleases.
“I’m only going to say this once, I no send your papa, your mama, your uncle, your sister…I go wear my miniskirt anywhere I want, anytime I want, any way I want,” she had said in a mixture of pidgin and English.

This is not the first time Ayra has faced controversy over her clothing choices. Last December, she defended her right to wear a miniskirt.
