Ayra Starr confirms sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turn 21’ is 100% ready

Ayra Starr is one of the leading female artistes in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The singer-songwriter who made her mainstream debut through Don Jazzy‘s record label, Mavins Record in 2021 has confirmed her sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turn 21’ will be released in May 2024.

According to the sensational songstress, the music project is “100% ready”.

In an interview with DJ Buck, the 21-year-old singer announced that her second album is 100% ready while also listing the artists that will feature on the project.

The singer-songwriter shared that she has an Afro-RnB song that “will take over the world” with American singer Giveon who she describes as an “amazing singer with a soothing voice”.

She also shared that she has a collaboration with Nigerian music superstar Asake which she calls a summer jam. Also on the album is Street pop sensational chart topper Seyi Vibez, American singer Coco Jones whom she reveals she grew up watching on the Disney channel, vocalist Aniita, and her brother Milar.
