Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has spoken up about his alleged feud with fellow comedian, Basketmouth.
There have been long-running speculations about the relationship between the two comedians who have never worked together.
Speaking on the matter when he was asked if he really had issues with Basketmouth, AY said,
“l don’t have issues with him. But people having unnecessary issues with you are the price you sometimes pay for being progressive. He has been battling with his uncontrollable SUPERIORITY COMPLEX for the longest. So avoiding his incessant
childishness only became necessary for my own sanity.”
He was asked again if he does not talk to Basketmouth and he had this to say, “we only
talk to those who want to talk to us. Does this make sense?”
Previously in 2021, Basketmouth spoke to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on his Black Box Interview series on Bounce Radio about the duo.
Basketmouth said at the time, “I don’t mess around with loyalty. He came into my space and messed around with loyalty,” the comedian said about his issue with AY.

However, he stated that they had settled the matter and moved on, while also clarifying that although he and AY are not friends, they remain cordial.
