Over a month after the sudden death of trip-hop rising star Juice WRLD, the autopsy has finally been released. Juice WRLD’s cause of death was an accidental drug overdose.
The Cook County Medical Examiner has determined that Juice WRLD died from an accidental overdose of oxycodine and codeine, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune.
The full autopsy and toxicology report is now open to the public so Juice WRLD’s fan and friends can know the cause of his death.
The police detained the rapper, born Jarad A. Higgins, at Chicago’s Midway Airport on December 8. This was after police got a tip to the possible presence of drugs and guns.
The rapper began convulsing as the police searched his private plane. While at the hospital, he was pronounced dead.
Sources told TMZ that it is likely Juice WRLD swallowed a large number of Percocet pills; in order to prevent the police from discovering them.
