Assurance: Davido explains why he chose to marry Chioma Rowland

In 2018, Chioma Rowland quickly gained mainstream prominence after she was introduced as Davido’s partner via the music video, ‘Assurance’.

Several years later, Chioma and Davido walked down the aisle in 2024.

In a recent interview with The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido has come out to explain why he decided to walk down the aisle, Chioma Rowland.

The singer explained that if it wasn’t for Chioma, he wouldn’t have gotten married.

He said, “My wedding was the happiest day of my life. Chioma has been my girl for 12 years so it was only right I married her. I was already famous before we met but I wasn’t big then.

“If it wasn’t her [Chioma], I’m not getting married. There’s no point.”
