Cassper Nyovest, a South- African rapper has reacted to the lockdown effected by the South African government; following the increase of the coronavirus pandemic cases in the state.
Nyovest says artistes in the country will go hungry if the lockdown persists “for more than 3 months.”
The rapper stated this while replying to a fan who challenged S.A musicians for not donating towards coronavirus relief; like Rihanna and other celebrities around the globe.
Speaking on behalf of S.A celebrities, Cassper Nyovest said that they don’t have “Rihanna money” and might go hungry if the lockdown persists for more than 3 months.
He stressed that they really want to donate to assist in coronavirus relief, but don’t have any money to give.
He tweeted:
“We don’t have Rihanna money. Truth is, we don’t even know what we gone eat if the lockdown goes down for more than 3 months. Maybe if we were supported and stanned like yall stan Drake and Rihanna we would have the money to help. It’s not that we don’t want to, we don’t have.”
