Album Year Billie Ariana

American singer and Grammy Album of the Year winner Billie Eilish says that pop star Ariana Grande deserved the award. Am I dreaming or is this 2017 again?

This year’s Grammy Awards was as controversial as ever, raising questions of who deserved what. And Billie, who swept up the biggest awards of the night (Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Best Song, and Best Vocal Album); was not exempt.

While receiving her award, Billie said she thought Ariana Grande deserved it more than she did. And while Grande was not the best in that category, Billie’s not wrong.

Check out the video below:

Ariana Grande had an amazing year. Coming of being named Billboard’s Woman of the Year, Ariana started 2019 very strong.

She even won the Album of the Year last year but was visibly absent from the Grammys over a squirmish with the producers.

On February 8, she released an album titled Thank U, Next, which produced several hits, most notably the song of the same title.

Its second single 7 Rings, although facing plagiarism charges, was a mega-hit and earned her nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

The album received universal acclaim from critics for its cohesiveness and production and got the Album of the Year nomination. In total, she had five nominations

But needless to say, Ariana went home empty-handed. And because talent recognizes talent, Billie acknowledged that Ariana deserved Album of the Year more than she did.

Flashback

This is reminiscent of the 2017 Grammy Awards, when Adele’s 25 won Album of the Year over Beyonce’s Lemonade and everyone, including Adele, was confused.

She said on stage that she thought Beyonce deserved it a lot more than she did. And she was right. She even broke the Award in two and cried saying Lemonade was monumental for her.

This begs to question what the hell is going on in the minds of the showrunners. We the people are not impressed.
