Embattled singer, Dapo Oyebanjo aka D’banj has defied Nigeria’s COVID-19 guidelines, as he performed at a private event in Abuja.
This development came on the heels of his grilling with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), over an alleged rape.
In a video circulating on social media, D’banj was seen performing one of his hit songs, Olorun Ma Je, in a crowded house flanked by mostly women, none of whom was wearing a face mask.
While many of the party participants were cheering to his performance, D’Banj was caught on camera mingling with fans in contravention of the social distancing regulation.

The singer’s performance has however attracted wild reactions from Nigerians, who expressed opinions that the Emergency singer ought to be remorse and more concerned of clearing himself of the rape allegation, first before attending social gatherings.
