American Rapper Juice Wrld Dies at 21 After Suffering a Seizure

American rapper and singer Juice Wrld, best-known for his viral 2018 hit “Lucid Dreams” has died at 21 after suffering a seizure.

Celebrity news website TMZ reported that he died after suffering a seizure at Chicago’s Midway airport on Sunday morning.

According to law enforcement sources, the rapper was already bleeding from the mouth when paramedics arrived. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Juice Wrld, real name, Jarad Anthony Higgins shot to fame on music streaming platforms. His record label, Interscope Records, gave a tribute to the rapper via twitter.

Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time. He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds, an exceptional human being and artist who loved and cared for his fans above everything else.”

Born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1998, Juice Wrld released his debut full-length EP, 999, in 2017, garnering him attention from fellow Chicago-based artists such as G Herbo and Lil Bibby. He was signed to Interscope Records in March 2018 after scoring hits on SoundCloud with “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are the Same.” In his song “Legend,” Juice Wrld rapped about the short lives of artists, saying “all the legends seem to die out“.

The song, was dedicated to two late rappers, 20-year-old XXXTentacion and 21-year-old Lil Peep. They both died in 2018 and 2017, respectively.

Juice Wrld celebrated his 21st birthday last week, December 2. In a tweet, he said it was “one of his best” birthdays yet.

However, In recent interviews, Juice Wrld had been candid about his use cannabis and Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication.

“I smoke weed, and every now and then I slip up and do something that’s poor judgment,” he said.
