American actress, Amber Heard has denied cheating on Johnny Depp, her ex-husband with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.
Heard denied the cheating allegation while testifying against Depp, at a London courthouse, on Tuesday.
Depp, 57, had filed a lawsuit against her and The Sun UK’s publisher, over a 2018 article that labelled him a “wife beater”.
On the second day of the 11-day trial, Heard dismissed claims by Eleanor Laws, Depp’s lawyer that she had an “affair” with the Tesla founder. Laws cited a text message the Tesla founder allegedly sent to her after she told him about Depp’s physical attack on her. According to BBC, Laws quoted Musk, saying;
“The offer would stand, even if you never wanted to see me again… anyway, sorry for being an idiot.
“The radio silence hurts a lot. It only matters because I really like you.”
Heard however insisted that they were only friends.
Heard’s domestic violence testimony
The Aquaman star also accused Depp of throwing a cellphone at her face “like he was a baseball pitcher,” while sharing a bruised photo showing injuries of the attack which happened on May 22, 2016.
Countering her testimony, Depp’s lawyer, accused Heard of making up the claims. He wondered why no one saw the injury on her face when the alleged attack took place at the couple’s Los Angeles building at the time.
Laws further showed several surveillance videos from an elevator in the building that contradicted Heard’s claims.
Heard, however, said her injuries had been concealed by the makeup on her face while she was leaving the house after the incident.
Depp and Heard met in 2019 on the set of The Rum Diary which was released in 2011. They tied the knot at a private ceremony in Los Angeles in 2015.
But a year after the union, Heard filed for divorce, accusing her husband of domestic abuse. Their divorce was finalized in 2017.
